In this issue, we introduce you to world-class wine created right here in our backyard. Eric Luhmann, the personable founder and operator of Carteret County first federally bonded winery, uses a painstaking process and a lifetime of experience to create vine you'd swear came straight from Europe. And in a way, it did. We introduce you to Jamie Dickinson, a young entrepreneur with a head for business and an eye for creativity. Dickinson's Morehead City boutique, Jamie's, is a hybrid of high fashion and fine art. In our regular restaurant feature we visit with Francesco and Gloria Pizzuti, whose A Taste of Italy has become a staple in the rotation of any discerning gourmand in the area. The Pizzutis’ who brought Italian cuisine that's as authentic as it gets to the area, view their business as not just a job, hut a calling.
